Your ski pass will give you access to the whole area, including both Val d’Isère and Tignes.
Tignes offers a diverse range of pistes suitable for all skill levels, from beginners to expert skiers, including some of the most exhilarating off-piste opportunities in the Alps. With its high altitude and impressive glacier, Tignes ensures reliable snow conditions, making it a top destination for skiing enthusiasts year-round.
Tignes
We suggest you start your day by taking the “Palafour lift”, then skiing over to Val Claret to get some fantastic skiing on the way. You will pass the “Fun Park”, great for those who like to jump. If you want to try out an un-pisted piste, don’t miss the lift “Col des Ves” on your way down to Val Claret centre.
From Val Claret you can take the train “Funiculaire Perce Neige” or take the chair lift “Les Lanches” up to the Grand Motte top. The Grand Motte glacier is at an impressive altitude of 3 456 meters above sea level. Here you will have a beautiful view of Mont Blanc – the highest peak of the Alps and get the chance to ski down one of the best pistes in Europe – “double M”. We also recommend going all the way down to the lowest part of Tignes, Les Breviéres, at an altitude of 1 550 meters. Tignes offers many different areas that will suite everyone - from beginners to experts
Val d’Isère
To get to Val d’Isère you can either go from Tignes Le Lac or from Val Claret and you will be there in no time. From the very center of Tignes Le Lac, you can access the Bellevarde ski area by taking the “Toviere” gondola. This area offers a wide range of different slopes ranging from green to black. A slope you shouldn’t miss is the World Cup slope Face de Bellevarde. From the Bellevarde top at an altitude of 2 827 meters you can choose to either go towards Solaise, go further up to Rocher du Charvet or down to Val d’Isère. You can reach the Rocher Du Charvet area by taking the Grand Prée chair lift. Here you will find some green slopes and you will also be able to ski back towards the Tignes ski areas.
A recommendation is to ski the whole way to Pissaillas glaciers. Here you will find plenty of natural snow, wide blue- and red runs with less people. On your way back, you can take the Lessier chair lift if you dare. It goes by the nick name “The oh my God-lift” due to the surprising height difference one will experience out of the blue. Later on you will arrive to the Solaise area with many blue runs – perfect for the first day and a good beginners area. If you go down the slope “Arcelle” in Solaise, you will not only enjoy nice skiing, but also the view of the beautiful Manchet valley.
