Welcome to Val Thorens

Val Thorens is famous for being a part of the Trois Vallées, the world’s largest linked ski area with over 600 km of piste and around 160 different ski lifts to choose from. The slopes are always well prepared. Enjoy cruising down blue slopes, or ride down steeper red ones. The first lifts open at 9 in the morning, and the last lifts close around 16.30, which gives you plenty of time to explore the massive mountains.

The ski area

Val Thorens boasts a remarkable range of skiing options with its well-connected slopes and state-of-the-art ski lifts. As the highest resort in this largest ski area in the world, it offers unique access to pistes across the interconnected resorts of Courchevel, Méribel, and Val Thorens itself, catering to various skill levels.

A nice excursion is to go to the forest of Courchevel over the day. You start with the
Pioneer lift at the bottom of Val Thorens, and then you take the Trois Vallées lift right away to get to Meribel. Ski all the way down and be sure to make a stop at six km long Mont Vallon, one of the best slopes in
Europe! Continue to Meribel-Village and take Saulire Express all the way to the top, and you are in Courchevel. Enjoy!

Another really nice run is to go to Orelle, the fourth valley. The quickest way there is to take the lift “Moutieres”, and after that take the tele cabin “Grand Fond”. Continue to the Orelle Valley. The slopes there are
incredible, especially in the morning. You will also reach the highest point in Trois Vallées here, the Plan Bouchet at 3 230 meters.
